Becoming a MacTHA member

We welcome individuals like you who are interested in becoming a MacTHA member. The most important requirement is that you share and uphold our values as a scholarly association to bring teaching and research in tourism and hospitality to the industry through recognition, education and collaboration. 

• Teaching staff and researchers working at a higher education institution in the tourism and hospitality field or related fields.
• One-time membership fee: MOP500.
• Membership must be recommended by at least two members and approved by the Executive Committee. 

• Professionals working in the tourism and hospitality industry, or in a relevant sector.
• One-time membership fee: MOP500.
• Membership must be recommended by at least two members and approved by the Executive Committee. 

• Students studying at higher education institutions in a programme related to the tourism and hospitality field, or related fields.
• One-time membership fee: MOP200 (throughout non-stop study period).
• Membership must be recommended by at least two members and approved by the Executive Committee. 

• Distinguished academics and exceptional professionals can be invited as members. Invited members must be nominated by two board members, approved the Executive Committee, and officially invited by the President of MacTHA. 
• Membership fees are exempted for invited members.
